2001 Volvo S40 Front Axle
So I hit something with my 2001 volvo s40 today and now my front passenger side axle is bent I believe. The wheel got pushed back to the frame of the car and it hardly turns. It rubs against the street and so it's not drive able. How much would an axle cost and how much would it cost labor wise? hours, and etc. Is the axle two separate parts? It only looked like the last part of the axle closest to the tire was bent. The axle is like bent as the picture shows. The steering wheel turns perfectly now and the left front wheel turns perfectly but the right doesnt. It lifts the whole car up when turning because it's going into the frame of the car. What could be broken?

Wow. What did you hit. Must have been quite hard.
It looks a bit like you may have damaged your lower control arm for starters, maybe bent it back or sheared a bolt where it connects to the subframe with bushes.
You'll need to jack it up, remove the wheel and see whats obvious suspension/steering wise once you have clear visual access.
More pics would be interesting to see also.
Good luck.
edit: You might be interested in this thread from the Matthews volvo forum on a damaged S60 with a similar problem, athough the wheel had moved forwards. He bought her de registered for parts but fixed her quite cheaply.
