My 2002 Volvo s40 seems to be stuck in W or winter mode driving. How do I get it out of that mode? It consumes far too much fual and on regular roads it has sluggish performance.

I know that to put it in W mode from regular mode one must already have the car in drive. Is there a similar routine to get it out of winter driving or W mode?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just push the button again. It sometimes gets sticky from spilled drinks so you may have to use some lubricant.
