my 2005 S40 T5 has a tough time starting only on the first start up of the day. It stumbles for a few seconds before getting to idle. It's find for the rest of the day. It only has 55k and well taken care of. Any thoughts on what is causing the issue?

IIRC, the fix is a software update.
It was a long time ago that I read through that thread, so read it for your self!!! That way you'll exactly what to tell the dealer.

It affected '04.5-'06 models. I also had the same issue from time to time but it was very infrequent.
