Can anyone tell me if there are any major problems with the 2006 s40's? I have a 99 s80 t-6 right now that is nickle and diming me to death. Thanks

 

I had an 2006 S40 and I haven't had any problems with it for the last 3 years.

 

It may depend on the built date. My '06 s40 2.4i has a late '05 date, and I have encountered small, annoying problems that have been corrected, but apparently were up-dated on the assembly line as the '06 production occurred. Of course, my car was already put together by then! For example, I had a squeaky clutch pedal and still have a "loose" front seat. Both were dealt with under warranty, but it was annoying to say the least. In fact, my seat is still a bit loose on its tracks, but going to the dealer is an expedition (~140 miles round trip).
