Default 2006 S40 T5: Ambient temperature Reeading

The ambient temperature indicator located in the center of dash board goes all the way down to 45F on 95F day here in TX!!! when the temperature reading is this low, the AC doesn't work properly. I have a feeling that exterior temperature sensor may not be functioning.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thank you,

On my 04 S40 the sensor is located in front of the rad, mounted to a hole. Mine went bad and temp reading wouldn't change and had to be replaced, around $30. If you know of one at a u-pick wrecker you could also get one from there. If you find it on your car, disconnect the cable and see if it impacts the reading.

s40_Ontario:

Thank you. I was wondering if there is any online place where I could find out where the ambient temperature sensory is located on my 2006 S40 T5? again thanks for your response.
