My S40 power seat is dead and all the way forward, fuses are OK and 12V get to power seat.
I have the seat out of the car now and wonder if it is possible to slide it forward without
disassembling the fore/aft motor?
I rather have the seat back in car so I could and drive, then deal with dead
power seat at later time,
After no answer posted:
Ended up removing fore/aft motor and used a drill to move the seat forward with drill #2 square bit
instead of motor shaft.Couple of hrs work taking seat out, removing motor and then all back in car.
Wish there was a better way adjusting dead power seats.

 

better way is to replace the broken seat. You can search for used seats using car-parts.com to find a yard near you.
