How to I remove the center console? I am looking to get upnder the cup holder area. Not popping out the actual cup holder...but under that area. I have a rattle I need to find before I go insane.

 

I have an 08 s40.. I have a rattle that is driving me NUTS--but it sounds like it is coming from in the instrument panel, like a loose spring. Ugh! My engine also rattles :-(

 

Have you tried having the dealer take care of it? I'd think that this kind of stuff is still under warranty...

 

The closest dealer to me is unfortunately about 60 miles away, and only opens its service center on weekdays. I certainly plan on bringing it in asap but I need to take a day off to do this, which I'm not too happy about. Needless to say, I don't have the luxury of continually bringing the car back to the dealer whenever I want.

Meanwhile, if I can help them pinpoint the issue or possible fix it myself, all the better.
