Default 75k service - motor mounts?

I just took my 2000 S40 in for a 75k service and my mechanic comes back and says I need the front motor mount replaced. The part description is "ENG MNT FRNT UP VS/40" and costs $101.15, and labor to replace is $16.10. Does this sound fishy, or does this problem occur frequently? I've noticed a vibration at idle about 10% of the time I drive the car, but it hasn't bothered me much. Is it something I really need to spend over $100 to fix or can I just leave it alone?

I also noticed the mechanic jotted down:
battery: 9.7V and alternator: 13.8V

Does the voltage on the battery seem low? It hasn't been replaced since I purchased it 3 years ago (and I'm not sure if it was replaced in the first 4 years of its life either).

You can probably pick up a motor mount from FCP Groton or other places on ebay for less. It is a fairly simple job to replace. If yours is broken you really need to get it replaced. It could become dangerous if left alone. Voltage on battery seems low. Take it to Autozone or similar place and they can test the battery and tell you if you need a replacement. If you got 7 years out of the battery then you did OK.
