Aftermarket HID on 2004.5 S40
Installed HID's on my 2004.5 S40 T5 using a DDM 35W Ultra Slim Ballast HID Conversion Kit. Had to use a relay bought at Radio Shack to get both headlights to turn on and stay on. However, after a few weeks, only one headlight would turn on (this would alternate from left to right headlight). This continued for a few more days until both went dead. We replaced the relay with a BMW relay and everything was working well for about a month. Now, when the car is started, both headlights turn on and after 10 seconds or so the driver's side bulb goes out. Any ideas on how to remedy this??? Anybody know what is going on?
