Hey all, I am looking for a way to stream audio via bluetooth in my 2006 s40. I'm currently using one of those cigarette lighter bluetooth radio things but the audio quality is always horrible no matter what station I play it on. also it only plays audio out of the driver door speaker when I use it, but normal radio plays over all speakers. I'd also like to get new speakers as the ones in my car now sound muffled and staticy all the time. I did some research on replacing the head unit but it seems like that would be pretty difficult to do/impractical in an s40. I dont really know much about cars, so any suggestions what to buy in terms of equipment to get the best audio would be helpful. Thanks!

 

You could go with an FM modulator that connects through the antenna wire. For best sound though you would need to interface with the MOST (fiber optic) bus. Which factory sound system do you have (Performance, High Performance, Premium)? If you have the premium then you can add a Denison Gateway 500. If you have one of the lesser systems then about your only hope is to go with the Bluepower BLP-990A.
