Exclamation blower motor electrical issues!

Recently I had my aircon at full blast for a while but when I get to a signal to turn it down, it stayed at full blast even when I turn it off with the climate control. It will turn off when all the electrical's are off, but when I took the climate control unit out and disconnect the unit it will keep the blower motor at full blast! Then on the second day, the blower motor stopped working all together with the addition of replacing the "blower motor resistor" (aka the transistor) with a used one from a Volvo dismantle store that I got in person aaannnndddd still got nothing out of the blower motor. So right now I need some guidance to resolve the issue and I have a suspicion the blower motor might be dead but I don't truly know until I diagnose the situation properly.

Thanks to whom ever replies,

Magnusson.

You can hook the blower motor to a 12v source directly to check it. (Need a ground too of course)

What you described with it only working on full blast is exactly what happened to me when my Transistor died. The first time I replaced it with a new Volvo unit for about $79 (long time ago). The next time it failed I soldered a Radio Shack transistor in place and this worked for a couple years. I have read of others having issues with the CEM but so far my 2001 CEM is still holding fine.
