Default blower motor issues

ok so i searched and couldnt find an exact answer but my blower motor in my 98 volvo s70 is not working anymore and its cold outside so it would be nice if it did.. i took out the glove box to expose it and i saw it... i had the car running with the dial all the way to full blast.. i tapped on it and banged it with my hand and it seems to go very low speed for like 7 seconds then slows down and stops.. the more i hit it the more it goes but then stops again... what could be wrong with it? i really need this to work its cold outside. thanks!

Glad you got it working. This forum is a tad slower than others I have been a member of.... smaller population of members has something to do with it. Being negative deffinetly won't get you any help though. Hope you stick around, there is a lot of information and experienced members here... just got to have a little patience.
