Default Car falling apart! Please help!!

So let me start from the top. I bought this car off the second owner just a few months ago. He had it for a few years and told me it didn't give him much trouble. He did regular scheduled maintenance on the vehicle and that's it. He also shared with me that when I bought it from the original owner that it had a check engine light on and it was for a disconnected cam positioning sensor. That he had disconnected it because the car ran better that way. The newer owner went out and bought a used one and replaced the older one and it made the car run bad for him as well, so he unplugged it and never had an issue again. When I test drove the car I found nothing wrong with it as well. I checked the code and it said: "bank 2 cam shaft sensor out of range/disconnected". I wound up buying it and started using it as my daily driver right away. I travel far to get to work and I think it's more use than the car had ever gotten. After a week I did my usual new car care, oil change, filter replacement, spark plugs, wires. Then after two weeks or so the car started to die when I decelerated to about 5-10 mph after a long drive. It wouldn't stutter or try to stay on or nothing at all. Only way I would even notice that it died was the air would stop working and lights on dash would turn on. It would always start right up after I put it into neutral and turned the key.

Next problem was I tried to pass someone up on the road and punched the accelerator and after a few minutes the oil light came on. I killed engine right away and pulled over. Smoke was coming out of my hood and opened up to inspect. My oil dip stick had popped out and oil was everywhere! And I mean everywhere! All down my right hand side wheel wells and trunk and tires and rims and all! Found out my intake cam seal had popped off and poured all my oil out of it. I took it apart and replaced the seal, timing belt, pullies, tensioner, water pump, and oil. I also tried to plug in the cam sensor for the first time. The engine ran like crap after that! Unplugged the sensor and went back to car I new. But the oil still sprayed out of the dip stick and dip stick comes up a bit. So my pcv system is bad somewhere and don't know where to start.

Now, I have noticed that when the car is about to die after my decelerating that if I hit the gas it doesn't respond at all and doesn't help it from dying. The only thing that keeps it from dying is throwing it into neutral. Now during the winter when I start the car in the morning it dies right away. Almost as if you try to start a car with no gas that only sputters to start because of fumes .

Now, I do all my mechanic work myself, both because I am poor and because nobody will put the care and attention like I will. But I am unfamiliarity with volvos and need a little info and guidance. Oh... And it's a 2002 s40 1.9t by the way.

So, what can I do? What can I check and what is it going to take to get my engine back in to shape? Please help!

Get the PCV system fixed 1st as it is creatng a lot of issues. Look for the procedure on this site or elsewhere, you will need to take off the intake manifold to get the bolt on unit.
