2002 Volvo coolant fan will not shut off even if car is not running

 

check the relay but could also be the fan motor. Search for other posts on this topic as it comes up from time to time.

 

If the AC is on it will run until the temp is ok , so turn the AC off and see if it still runs all the time , does it eventualy stop? , its ok for fan to run a bit after switching off after heavy driving as it needs to keep the temperature contstant , but if it does not stop after say 2 minutes then its the temp sencor . when you start the car in the morning (car is cold) does the fan come on ?
