Default Couple of Easy Questions.

I had two pretty easy questions for you guys. I have a 2000 S40 with and auto trans and wanted to know what the S and the W button are for? They are located below the Gear shift in the center console.
Also, I haven't been successful in locating the Wiper fluid reservoir under the hood. I have tried traceing the line from the hood nozzles, but I lose the tubing behind the heat shield/motor. Where would this be?
Thanks.

The buttons are for different modes for your transmission. The "S" stands for Sport and and the "W" for winter. This changes the way your transmission shifts, for example the winter mode doesnt allow your transmission to downshift past 3rd gear so when you start from a standstill you are in 3rd gerar and dont spin your tires. The "W" mode was kept for the 2001 model year but a 5 speed adaptive shift transmission replaced the 4 speed in the 2000 and the adaptive shift eliminated the need for the other modes.

As for the wiper fluid, I have a 2001 and I believe it is located in the front of the engine bay, on the passenger side if I remember correctly. I believe it is hidden with the exception of the filler cap. This could be different on your model, but I am sure they would put it toward the front of the engine copmpartment.

YES, THE RESEVOIR FOR THE WASHER FLUID IS IN THE VERY LEFT HAND FRONT CORNER OF ENGINE BAY.
