Default Dtc help please!!! Very frustrated!!!

I am looking for some help identifying some codes on my 2004 S40 T5.

I have been in the auto industry for 20 years from tech, sales, management and owner/operator.

I am new to VOLVO cars so I have no real experience with them (probably most of the problem here)

I have looked for a solution to these codes in this forum, various other forums, INNOVA.com, local Volvo dealership and VOLVO.com. I have had no luck figuring them out.

I am using an INNOVA 3100 code scanner.

Below is the list of codes. I do have a random cylinder misfire (all but cyl #4). These are the ones that I am not sure if they are real or what the heck is up with them. I have tried 5 different scanners at multiple locations just to rule out a scanner issue. They all show the same.

PO294- cyl 12 inj, circuit low??? CYL12???
B1B00
C1F48
C3C6A
C2FD2

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP...

Hmmm. I went to VIDA (Volvo's integrated repair database), but your codes are not in the format VIDA uses for its Diagnostic trouble Codes (DTC).

I'm not sure what kind of scanner you are referring to when you say "I have tried 5 different scanners at multiple locations". My understanding of Volvo diagnostics is that all connection is through the OBD2 port.

You can get a Chinese clone DiCE / VIDA unit for about $125, delivered from China in about six (!!) days, that will do 80% of diagnostic work on all Volvos. This gives everything from a parts catalog for all Volvos since 2000 to trouble codes, diagnostic procedures, and repair procedures for all parts of the car. It will NOT refresh software; that is a dealer-only operation. You can get a VMware image of a VIDA install on the internet for free.

Here's some information on the relation of Volvo's DTC's and the rest of the industry:

Dunno about the codes you are showing but Innova says the 3100(g) is incompatible with Volvo ODB2s. Just to note the first letter gives a category ie P = powertrain, B= body (ie airbags etc) C= chassis... Try having a local Autozone pull the codes for you using their reader...

Old thread...... I hope he has it figured out a year later.

To carlon cai: in the very recent past VIDA would only work on 32bit Windows XP Pro or Win 7 Pro or Ultimate. The solition for users of the Home versions or 64 bit versions was VMWare. It allowed anyone to have VIDA without all the trouble. Please give us specifics on your setup so that we may learn.
