Alright. My 2000 s40 has had its battery for 7 years now and is time to be replaced. My question is if the turn signals are on, even with a new battery, what causes the dash lights to dim as the turn signals flash? I know a hobbyist who works on GM vehicles and he told me to check my alternator and fuse box. Also, after checking these two areas are there any other spots I should check out? Thanks.

 

I would have the alternator checked at a parts store or by a certified mechanic.
