I have a 2005 S40 2.4i ...anyway, every time I turn the car off I hear this little noise coming from the dash. Kinda like the car turning stuff off internally. I just wanted to know if anyone knew what that noise was. It doesn't seem to be hurting the car, nor does it bother me. I'm just curious... that's all.

 

Yes, I think I get that too...It usually happens has the lights dims...sound like the electronics are shutting down...my guess!!

 

Think a little harder is it when you remove the key?
If so then that is the steering wheel locking. But that is only on the 2004.5 and up S40/V50

 

Eh, it happens when i turn the car off... Like even before I pull the key from the ignition. IDK, i'll probably just take it to the dealership and ask them...
