I have a 2006 S40 T5 AWD and am looking into an extended warranty. I've had my parking brake replaced and then fixed twice, a bearing replaced, a tie rod replaced, as well as numerous recalls and my car only has 20k miles on it. I had a quote from the dealer for about $2200 with a $100 deductible to extend the original warranty to 7 years/100k miles. Has anyone gotten a better price or have any advice? I want to go with the manufacturer's warranty, b/c I have heard not so good things about private companies. Thanks!!

 

Extended warranties period are a waste of money. This is the honest truth. Most people will tell you to not buy one. I am one of them.
