Default front end clunking

Hello I am the owner of an 06 S40 2.4 with the 5 speed manual tranny. The car developed a noise that sounds likes it is coming from the front suspension. To make a long story as short as possible, the car has been at the dealer for over a month. They have replaced the front shocks, the transmission, the clutch, the motor mounts, and various suspension parts including the front axles. The car now apparently only makes a noise with the clutch in while going over little bumps. The dealer says that volvo is saying that the noise is normal. ( I cannot believe they authorized all this work for a normal sound - but that is another story)
My question is for anyone else who owns this car. Do you hear a clunking noise with the clutch disengaged while going over a small bump at low speeds?

Any input would be helpful!

Josh

Thanks jojoswhip

I think they are in correctly because they replaced those as well.

I have an 07 T5 AWD, 6 speed manual, and I do hear a clunk when I have the windows rolled down and going very slowly, shifting from 1st to 2nd. Doesn't raise any alarms though, I think it's normal with the Volvo.
