I have a 2007 s40 automatic...when in gear it just revs as tho in neutral...when turned off a few minutes it will drive but for only a few minutes...code coming up as gear selection sensor service...I am unable to find a part for this year of car..any ideas ?

 

google " PNP switch" or "park neutral position sensor" for discussions on the shifter. What you can try in the mean time is a "shifter row" where you go from Park to Lo 20x fast - that sometimes can scuff up the switch contacts enough to correct the fault
