Help 2008 volvo s40 wont move
I have a 2008 Volvo s40 with only 80K Miles. For sometime when driving the triangle would come on about 55 mph and say slow down or shift down......Transmission never slipped or revved up in the past.
On the way to work a few days ago at 55 MPH Speedometer read 160 then 0 then 160 then 0. I pulled off the road and heard a "CLANK" on passenger side of car. Sounded like I hit something but didnt....
Now the car will go into gear but wont move..
the following lights are on "DSTC Spin control off" Anti-Skid Temp OFF, ABS light on,
When you shift from R to P you hear some noise....
Any alternatives to Transmission issues??? Ideas will be helpful
Thank You

What you describe sounds transmission or drive axle related. You need to lift the car and check the axles first. Stuff like broken CV joints or stripped axle splines. Otherwise it sounds internal.
