I am looking to buy a hood lock for my 2002 Volvo s40. The one thta Volvo sells online is far too expensive ~ $ 50.00.

My hood when it is pushed down tends to pop up on its own about 4 inches. My mechanic says it is the hood lock. Replace it.

When can I get one at a good price?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you not tried a auto wreckers yard for 2nd hand?
Given a good complete hood may sell with the lock still attached you may need to plunder one from a damaged hood but it would go even cheaper theoretically.

 

well I am first time posting hope it is right place.

today I found out engine is getting hot.
and found oil is in the overflow radiator Expansion Tank.

No water in engine Nor Transmission fluids.

may be turbo cooler?
or engine oil cooler ?

Any info would be great
