Default Indicator Stem on Steering Column

Hi Guys,
The turn indicator stick is not going easily to the right turn position, thats up the way.
It needs a sharp push to make it go. Also the auto cancelling is not working.
How can I get the housing apart to see the mechanism. The housing between the wheel and the instruments.
Several things seem to be going wrong at the same time on my 2003 model.
Thanks.

You need to remove the upper and lower covers. There is screws from the bottom.

Either the turn signal switch is bad or the SRS contact reel.
