New here guys and I have some questions about possible trouble spots with a high mile 2000 s40. I searched the archive area but I'm still looking for a few answers. I have available to me a 2000 with 175k on it. I know the original owner and I know the service of the car. Always dealer maintained from day one with all services done by the book. Exceptionally clean but things like the turbo and auto tranny concern me.
Any experirnces as to how long the transmission will last? This car has nothing but open road miles on it. What about the turbo or any other anticipated big $$ repairs to expect. Your collective knowledge and input is appreciated. BTW-I'm coming over from the dark side (quattro)

 

i just bought a 1999 2.0t and have developed turbo rattle. check for same signs as mine. posted as turbo rattle today.
