Heya guys,

I have a right hand drive 01' s40 and i want to fit a sub. I was wondering has any1 done this before and if they have any advice or do they know if there is a hole in the fire wall somewhere to power the amp??

In a 2007 S40 it is under the steering wheel, a little bit to the right above the red hood open lever on the front wall. There is a perforation in the insulation. You can twist it away and it will reveal a plastic portal door about 2.5" by 2.5" and it can pop out of place. You can cut the plastic with a knife and run wires through it. The plastic door can be popped back into the slot. The insulation can be shoved back into place later. There is a place to access the firewall portal from behind the car battery. If you remove the battery there is a hole in the back of the battery casing where you can see the firewall portal. With a long enough screw driver you can stick it through and pull any wires you need through the firewall.
