hello all, in recent times, my old car is getting, well, old i suppose.
i have had a 2003 maxima for the past 3 yrs. love the car to death but, its time to move on. 3yrs spent modding on a budget, completely worth it. the car is great, will definitely have a hard time letting it go.
anyways, i spent alot of time modding my maxima and it turned out very well for the most part, so i will definitely be modding this car as well.

im about 99% sure i know what i want, low miles 05-06 s40 t5 manual awd (for the snow of course...)
there is that 1% chance i would jump for a nice S60R, basically why i'm writing this out right now.

what i would like to know more about is what kind of power i can make, for how much money... and which parts to use?

my goal is at least 280 hp at the flywheel...


the max was good for 270 at the fwheel and was pretty quick

i understand that the s40 will probably make quite a bit more torque as well, and that i may want to focus on that also.

what is the stock turbo capable of with supporting mods?

would it be better just to buy an s60r? i love the looks of the s40 but will give them up to save money and time modding/

am i asking the right questions?
