I opened up my trusty owners manual to attempt to do a little a/c recharging....but low and behold, the diagram in the manual leads me to nowhere..

Can someone give me specific detailed instructions as to the location of the low side a/c port for a 2002 volvo s40 ??

the diagram shows iton the passenger sidein front of the radiator......there is nothing there. I even had a friend look too, he spent 20 minutes just looking and could not find it either. This of course made me fell much better.

edit: looks like the attachment didn't attach correctly....sorry, don't bother opening ....

 

The only picture I have is no good either they use a generic picture of a S80.
But it is towards the back of the engine compartment on the passenger side like by the firewall. It has a black cap on it.

 

Indeed....it is on the passenger side,just in front of the firewall.
It does have a black cap. The port is not right on the top of the metal tubing, it sits down on a bit of an angle.
