I have a 2000 Volvo S40, and I wanted to know if putting a blow off valve would really reduce performance for my car. I have heard around different forums that a blow off valve would reduce performance just my question is how much? I want to make my car look nice but... I have next to no money and maybe there are places to get cheap Volvo parts but would last pretty long.

 

Some one else might know better than me but I don't think it will hurt performance at all.

 

Thanks. Im wasnt sure if it did anything but on the SweedSpeed Forum were saying since its an automatic that adding a blowoff valve would reduce performance.
But I also heard that putting a cold air intake improves performance alot.
