New S40, torn window seals, creaking in the doors and chipped paint
As the title says, both doors have a plastic creaking sound to them. Is there a common cause to this?
Also the front and rear windshield, the rubber strip at the top is mangled. It looks terrible, what caused this and has anyone else experienced this?
Lastly, have only had it for a couple of weeks, we have four chips on the paint. The paint looks real thin. Opinions on the toughness of the finish will be appreciated.
Have not talked to the dealer on any of these problems, YET.
Thanks all
James

yeah i was surprised too when i realized this, the car frame is made out of heavy duty steel, for safetly, so in order to make the car quicker to compete with other cars of its class(luxury sports sedans) they need to lose some weight somewhere so they use fiberglass, i believe all of the new corvettes these days have a decent amount of fiberglass on them. when i recently got my t5 fixed for an accident they had to replace the entire front bumper because of it being fiberglass(there was a hole punched through the fiberglass). its kinda of a pain when u have to replace the entire thing, but on the other hand u wont need to go through expensive fixes for minor dents and the like.
