There is an old trick of filling the pump with Vaseline jelly to prime it.

I have no clue if you can prime it like the pushrod engines through the distributor hole.

Is this a new pump?

I had a neighbor whose old 240 broke the timing belt. No problem, it's a non-interference engine. On closer inspection I discovered the cam was seized due to lack of oil pressure. Upon tearing down the oil pump you could see marks on the housing from the over-pressure spring. The over-pressure valve would hang open on a cold start. My neighbor had unplugged the oil pressure warning light because it was ON all the time and it bothered him! (Moral? He needed a new oil pump)

Are you sure you checked the oil pickup tube screen real well? You're going to have to pull the oil pan down and recheck your work. Good luck.

well, i'm really sure oil pickup was enough tight to not lose pressure, about hudini said it may be pump because i checked for grooves or scratches on it but never looked for over-pressure spring that well, mmmmm i'm gonna remove pump and report back what i see on it.

Full synthetic, any brand, weight depending on location. Mine are in Tennessee so 5W-30 works well. Down in Miami or further south maybe a 10W-30 or 10W-40. Up north maybe 0W-30. The temp ranges are printed in the Owners Manual. For me the most important item is full synthetic.
