Hi Fellow Volvoists,

After recently taking my car back from a service, I heard a rattle at idle, discovered it was the air intake pipe not seated correctly.

Pls see pics for the area im referring to..

My question is... should there be a ring which locks the two parts together? I see there's a lock/unlock logo there, which suggests there should be a ring which locks the two together but I don't see it.

Any ideas?

 

It's a push and turn like a light bulb. Look at the top piece. Notice it has 4 tabs. Match the tabs to the spaces on the bottom air tube. Push to seat then turn to lock. Of course you have to remove the 8mm top bolt and 10mm bolt on the right bottom first. (Assuming my bolts are stock size)
