Poor Gas Mileage
Hey, I drive a 2006 S40 T5 AWD it's my first Volvo and I've had it for about a month but it's been in and out of the shop for power failure issues the past few weeks.
I feel like I should be getting better gas mileage. It seems like I'm getting about 300km per tank in the city. Is that normal or is there something I should do? Like maybe the fuel filter? Is there anything else I should consider doing to try and help?

That might be fine gas mileage. Or horrible. Can't tell because all we know is that you went 300km in some unnamed city. Don't know how much gas you put in when you refilled (presumably something less than the full capacity of the tank).
If I got 190 miles (aka 300km) out of my 2005 V50 in the flat, fairly open Phoenix, Arizona area (where I live), after nearly draining the tank, I'd be fairly disappointed.
OTOH, if I had been driving with a lead foot, it might be pretty good mileage.
OTOH, if I got 190 miles on a tank in my daughter's Manhattan area, I'd be thrilled with the mileage.
If we knew where, and how you're driving, and how many gallons / liters of gas you used to go 300km, we might be better able to give you meaningful advice.

how many miles on your car? If you have 100K+ miles consider replacing the plugs and coil packs to see if that helps. How doe the power feel? is th idle normal? Poor mileage can be caused by the car's fuel metering being off or an ineffective spark or bad compression (ugh, do you want to see if you have 150 PSI+ on all five cylinders) so I'd start with easy stuff - fresh synthetic oil of the proper weight, new plugs/coils. Inspect the wire harness to the coils for any cracked connectors etc. Does the temp gauge appear normal?
