Default Problems starting 2001 S40

My 2001 S40 won't start. It sounds as if it's a bad battery but there doesn't seem to be a problem with anything else in the car. Lights are bright and other accessories work. I've tried jumping the car but the engine barely turns and then I get the clicking as if the battery is dead. I've cleaned the cables and connectors. I just don't know what to do at this point....maybe go get a new battery and replace the old one? I was trying to get it cranked to get it to Advanced Auto. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a bad starter.

I guess the problem is in the starter too. If so, you can replace your volvo starter. Although there are many possible trouble spots that you can check first before replacing any parts.
