My 2002 s40 Volvo has the two rear windows thta have stopped operating. They will not lower. Now that it is spring, I want them to come down. It is a pain. I press the button and they just make a grinding noise and nothing happens. They must go down a little because when going down the road I hear a whistling from the rear seat suggesting the rear windows are at leat somewhat open.

So what do I do? Is their a quick fix? Is there a longer fix? From what I have read this is not uncommon.

Do I have to disassemble the inside of the two back doors?

Any suggestions appreciated.
