I just bought an 05 S40 in August and, so far, love it. Real solid feel while driving and it handles great.

Recently I noticed that the console area in the storage space behind the radio gets VERY hot to the touch. I took it to the dealer and they gave me the old "Gee, we've never had anyone complain about this before". Their technician did touch the console and admitted that it was hot, he just didn't have any good ideas what could be causing it. They took it back in the shop to check it out and supposedly didn't find anything.

Has anyone seen this before? And is there a fix for it?

I've noticed that CDs get extremely hot after playing them in the CD player. I'll check behind my console to see if it does the same (heats up).
