Does a 2006 Volvo S400 2.4i have an exhaust gas recirculation valve?
I am trying to hunt down a what it appears to be an exhaust leak, that I can only hear on cold startup for about 30 sec. I have replaced everything from the engine block down.. Exhaust manifold and all gaskets, flex-pipe and cat, downstream O2 sensor, (did not replace the upstream O2 sensor) so I was wondering if this car has an EGR Valve..
Do you see a small tube coming off the exhaust manifold? that's the EGR tube which should run up to the front of the engine to the EGR valve then into the intake...
No there is no tube coming off the exhaust manifold. Here are some pictures from the original manifold
I have many times checked and re-checked the gaskets. Last time I replaced them both with OEM (upper section facing the engine block, and lower facing the flex-pipe/cat) tourqued to the right spec.
The video has a different system since the engine is not the same.
