Do the fuel pressure regulators need coding to the car on a 59 plate s40

what do you mean by 59 plate - ie engine code 59 in the VIN (a quick check and I didn't see this as applicable to an S40), and what do you mean by coding? Easier to help if you state the year and engine type ie NA, T5...

 

England I believe. On a 2004.5 and up S40 we have a fuel pressure sensor instead of a regulator. No programming needed.

And the older S40's had a mechanical regulator.
