I have just bought a 2000 S40 and realised the rear passenger side marker was not illuminating. I bought a replacement part off the internet which has arrived, but the unit just has two bare wires connected to it and no connector as such. I would like to know how can I fit it myself, without having to go to a garage and pay a mechanic to do it.
Any help please?

PS the sunshine is great in England today.

 

Take the old unit out and cut the wires as close as possible to the light. Connect the new light to the wires using in line crimped connectors. If you haven't got these you can buy them at any accessory shop with the crimping tool for very little money.
