S40 Rear Brake Question

S40 Rear Brake Question
I understand that a special tool is required to retract the rear brake caliper piston. Can someone tell me if I rotate it clockwise or counter-clockwise? Is a lot of pressure while doing this required? I assume that once I'm finished that it needs to be rotated back. Also, can anyone tell me where to get this special tool. I bought one at Advance Auto Parts, but it didn't fit the Volvo. The one I got is basically a cube with different fittings on all sides for different manufacturers. Each side had a 3/8" square for a ratchet to plug into. Is this the type of tool that I am looking for?

RE: S40 Rear Brake Question
I have that same tool and one of the sides was a little too big so I filed down the little bumps so it fit in the face of the piston. You need to push the piston and turn clockwise to force the piston back into the caliper. When you put the pads back in the caliper and assemble everything, the piston will come out properly when you step on the brakes. Be patient and the piston will go back in.

This tool is awesome and usually goes on sale to about $20.00
Sometimes it takes major pressure.
I use a tool that pushes and turns at the same time.
