Hi all, I'm new to this forum, as I don't really drive the wife's car too often. I was wondering where the speed limiter is for an 06 S40 2.5L. I had hers up to about 135 today (according to the GPS) trying to hang with one of the new Saabs, & had been told by a coworker that his S80 was limited to 130 mph. Obviously, I dispelled that rumor, but how much faster can I push this thing?

 

Maybe 140 tops.

I did 135 in my 1995 850 n/a.

 

The main reason I'm asking is because it was still pulling pretty good, but Autobahn 9 had some issues, so we had to slow down, but I have a hard time believing that this little engine could achieve this speed.

My 2002 S40's rev limiter kicks in at 144 mph and it is a 4 cylinder.BJ

I think the s80t6 is limited to 150 or 155 mph ?

 

yeah, my s40 T5 can do 150 mph
