Default Starting issues still

Hi all,

I have had problems with my 1999 S40 2.0T when starting as sometimes it would require some gas while starting or a couple of attempts, the other day I started it and it spluttered and cut out then when I tried to start it again the lambda light would remain lit. I took everyones advice and replaced the fuel pressure regulator and checked the hoses and its still not starting right. I've also noticed the fuel economy go from 30mpg to about 15mpg.

Any advice would be great.

Nick

I called my dealer and they wanted £60 ($120) to check the codes and cant really afford that as well as parts, dont know if the codes will still show up since the light isn't on anymore though?

They still might show up. Do you have any big chain auto parts stores near you? Some will pull codes for free.
