sorry wnet with teh 16's do high mileage drioving now

I am buying my fourth volvo today(passion red) 2005 S40 T5 AWD with the prem & climate &Sound pkg and it has 16 inch wheels - the dealer is offering free to replace with 17 in wheels ...I put about 18- 20K per yr on this car right now and wesbite says these tires are low on wear -

Like the wheels - concerned about the tires - will this gift be more trouble then its worth??? got to decide by Thursday
