Tranny Swap
Okay so I know this will be a crazy question, but I'm wondering if any of our mechanic friends know the specifics that I do not know.
I have a 2005 s40 2.4i 5-speed. I'm curious about whether or not it is possible to swap the 5-speed tranny out with the 6-speed T5 tranny. Basically I just wonder if the specs and everything make that possible.
Thanks guys

May not be worth it to you, but to me it is. And what kind of experience or knowledge to you have to support the notion that the ECU wouldn't accept it? Or are you just making an assumption with no basis
Well to start, the car might reject the neutral port, throwing a transmission light.
The way around this would be
1. To get the neutral port converted to accept the hex code for the 6spd transmission.
2. The normal way around this is to just switch ECU's, but seeing that it is a T5 i don't think that would work.
3. Easiest way is to buy a 6spd T5.
