Transmission Solenoid problem
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.
I have a 2001 S40 1.9T. Recently, I found that my car battery lost power for overnight. I have it dianosed in a nearby mechanic shop. They told me that thetransmission solenoids keeps on when engine is turned off. In this manner, it keeps drawing the power out of the battery when the engine is off. BTW, the battery is new and the alternator is just relaced. The mechanic shop also checked these two parts and there's no problem with them.
Has anyone ever had this problem before? Is it a big problem? How much is this gonna take? I haven't got time to go to dealer's place.Thanks a lot

That is a new one to me. Are you sure it isn't something else?
I have never seen a tranny solenoid stay stuck on when the car is off.
Were they a Volvo specialist?
