I just bought a 2000 S40 with 89,200 miles from a car lot. After going through $1,300 of repairs to the airbag, throttle cable, and brakes, my car has kind of a vibration. When I start the car it vibrates like every car does, but instead of going away, it decreases but is still quite noticeable. It rattles my keys and squeaks dashboard components and is quite annoying. The steering wheel you can really see vibrating. It vibrates at idle, more than when accelerating, if that helps.

I have heard it is probably the motor mounts, one or all of them. Is there any way I can check the mounts myself, and replace them if they are worn/ broken? Also, is there anything else that may be causing this?
