Volvo s40 2000 lacks power
I took my s40 to the goodyear shop cuz I have check engine on, then they toldme that I have to replace ignition coil ,the wire slaves ,camshaft position sensor with a total cost $1350.45 I told them that Il pay just for the diagnostic whitch was $147.0 the most expensive parts they said is the camshaft whitch was $630.99, I went to the dealer after I left the good year, they laugh of me cuz the camshaft sensor is only $279.00 plus tax, well they toldme just buy thw 4 sparkplugs,2 ignition coils and the wire slave and see hows the car does, now I did it but stil same the check engine light it keeps blinking after I started the car,do I need the camshaft?
If you have a CEL on, then check the codes on the CEL and post them. If the prior shop used an OBD reader to pull the codes then ask them what the codes were. Hard to tell what you have to fix without knowing what the codes say is wrong.
