Default VOLVO S40 What should I look for?

I am looking at purchasing a 2009 volvo s40. What should I look for before purchasing? Any known gotchas?

Thanks!

Look for Honda or Toyota.

@Cezary I did - both accord and camry dont look in my opinion anywhere near as nice as the volvo. Especially the interior.

I have yet to hear a complaint for any of the 09's, only one being that the engine could have had a bit more punch. Overall if it's covered by warranty still, it'll be a pretty safe bet.

(Excuse the Volvo safety pun..)

It is just my love-hate relationship with my S40. After 110000km had to replace rear wheel bearings and now front. Googled old bearings and they are made in china.
Driving this car is atreat but reliability is not there any more.
Good luck.

What year?

Nothing significant with my S40 in 35K miles but I have the T5. Did have an angle gear leak and I just had the front rotors replaced because they were warped...both done under warranty/maintenance so no cost to me. I rented a Honda Accord a few years ago and was not impressed.
