i have a 2001 volvo s40 with 195/60 r15 87s tires i wanted to put a set of winter tires i have from a previous car i owned. the tire size is 215/55rr17 94s,can someone tell me if they will fit? thx

 

You want to put 17 inch snow tires on the 15 inch stock wheels? Then no, they will not fit as the diameter is too large (17 vs 15).

Or are you saying you want to put 17 inch wheels with snow tires on the car in place of the 15 inch wheels and tires on it stock? In this case it depends on the bolt pattern of the wheels and the offset. What car did they come off?

 

215/55-17 tire is just huge either way.Depending on the suspension as how low the car sits the biggest tire would be a 215/45-17.Thats for the summer or allseason I dont know about the winter tires as they tend to be even bigger.
