You Lot Are Lazy ****s
If you can be arsed to look at a thread, and not leave a message, then dont bother looking at all, 3 weeks i've been waiting for a reply, did i get one....no.
Cant be ****ed with any of this forum anymore, its more of a reference page than a question-answer as it should be.

Have you ever considered that maybe no one knew the answer?
Lazy would be if they never even opened the thread. Helpful includes people reading it to see if they can share any insight.

You need to chill out. Not even myself and Tech know everything.
You know that the moderators are 100% volunteer? We do this in our spare time, usually after and before work, or breaks, etc.

I am guilty of looking at a thread and NOT replying.... I certainly don't know everything. As a matter of fact, I am still learning but if I don't know the answer, I don't wan't to take space on the thread with some response. I would rather leave the room on there for someone whom might know. I also try to be ont he forum as much as I can but like Lyonsroar said, we do have other things to do outside of the forum that allows us to pay our mortgages and finance our Volvos.... Certainly someone might have your answer you look for, maybe that person hasn't logged on yet.

And lets not forget, you have a '97 S40 1.8 that "does not contain a turbo of any sort!!!!". If you notice, it looks like most of the members here are from the U.S. and the only first Gen S40 we got over here was the 1.9T. It can be kinda hard (tech or not) to diagnose a car over the internet let alone a car that we've never seen.
Good luck and I hope you figure it out but at this point it might be time to tow it into a shop and let them deal with it.
